A cute little box with a surprise

We've been busy here as it has been school holidays and time to keep the kids busy with lots of activities.
But I just couldn't resist taking time out to put together this cut little box. I first saw it as a cute baby box and I am sure that it has been replicated over the years, but it's still appealing and open to some fresh ideas.

So with Mother's Day not to far away here in Austalia, I wanted to create something very sweet and flowery.
The flowers used are all from the gorgeous Doodlebug Design Inc Range
and the card is from Americal Crafts.
This is available in Kit form including the instructions for $15.00 dollars
Time to head off and work on the Butterfly Cards for our up and coming card workshop.

Even though it's just a few days away from Easter, you still have time to make that Easter Card for someone special. Here's a quick one using products from American Crafts and Doodlebug designs inc.

Take a piece of 15 x 15 buttercream card and fold in half.
Cut out several eggs from American Crafts Backyard crackle and layer them along the top and bottom edge of the card attaching with ds tape or glue.

Attach a piece of Olive Card 14.5 x 10.5 cm in the centre, attach to a 90 x 100 cm piece of butter cream card 4 fancy brads or eyelets. The Easter egg eyelets used on this card are part of the Fancy Brad range by Jade.

Attach the buttercream card to the middle of the olive card

Attach a bunny brad from the Doodlebug Design Inc boutique brad range to the corner of an Olive card 6 x 5cm. Attach this to the middle of the butter cream card.

Attach a Happy Easter sticker in the middle.

This card format is a great way to use up small off cuts.
As well as it being Easter just a few days away, it also means the start of school holidays a finding ways to keep kids amused and occupied and away from using that dreaded "I'm bored" saying.
If your in Perth WA, you can come along and join in the Crafty Kids holiday activities that are happening here in store.
Enjoy your Easter crafting
